This is called "Hoberman Ball" or "Hoberman Sphere"
the very first one debuted more than a decade ago at New Jersry's Liberty Science Center. Its real name is the Hoberman Sphere invented by Chuck Hoberman.
Chuck Hoberman has transformed the Hoberman sphere into the Hoberman Arch of the Olympic stage. Over the years, the spheres have appeared on a cruise ship and at a world's fair.
Hoberman owns a company called "Hoberman Invention" with the product from Hoberman Arch to the Hoberman Sphere (ball).
